Description:
The Riva Junior 19ft is a compact yet unmistakably elegant Italian runabout originally introduced in 1966 under the direction of Carlo Riva. Conceived as a smaller, sportier counterpart within the Riva lineage, the Junior carries the same refined proportions, signature tumblehome stern, and mirror-finished mahogany decks that defined the golden era of Lake Iseo craftsmanship. Agile, stylish, and performance-oriented, she represents the perfect balance between luxury and sport in a sub-20-foot platform.
Our workshop faithfully recreates this iconic design using premium marine materials-including Western Red Cedar, Mahogany, Teak, and U.S.-made Hexcel fiberglass-sealed with System Three marine spar varnish. Each vessel is entirely handcrafted using the traditional plank-on-frame method, requiring approximately 4-5 months of meticulous craftsmanship. The sweeping foredeck, curved windshield, chrome detailing, and sculpted stern are preserved to reflect the authentic Riva aesthetic.
Clients may customize wood selection, deck inlays, upholstery, hardware finish, engine configuration, and interior detailing while maintaining the classic geometry and timeless character of the original Junior design.

History:
The Riva Junior was introduced in 1966 by the legendary Riva shipyard under the leadership of Carlo Riva. Conceived as a more accessible entry into the Riva range, the Junior maintained the brand's unmistakable style while offering a smaller, sportier alternative to models like the Aquarama.
At approximately 19 feet in length, the Junior appealed to a younger generation of boating enthusiasts who sought performance and prestige in a more compact form. Its introduction also marked a transitional era for Riva, as the company began shifting from purely wooden construction toward fiberglass production in the late 1960s.
Produced until the early 1970s, the Junior became one of Riva's most popular smaller models and remains highly collectible today. It stands as a symbol of the final golden chapter of classic wooden Riva craftsmanship before the brand's full transition into modern materials-preserving the spirit of Italian elegance in a compact, spirited package.
