Description:
The Chris Craft SRB 19' is a classic American sport runabout celebrated for its refined balance of performance, comfort, and elegant design. Created during the rise of recreational boating, it reflects Chris Craft’s tradition of building boats that deliver confident handling while maintaining a graceful presence on the water.
Each Chris Craft SRB 19' model is handcrafted in our workshop using premium woods such as Western Red Cedar, Mahogany, Teak and US -made Hexcel fiberglass with System Three marine spar varnish, following the traditional plank-on-frame construction method. Every build is completed with meticulous care over a period of approximately 4–5 months. Customization options are available, including scale, wood selection, finishes, deck detailing, interior layout, and personalized features.
The SRB 19' is defined by its well-proportioned hull and clean, flowing lines, offering smooth cruising and reliable performance on lakes and sheltered coastal waters. Hand-finished decks, finely crafted fittings, and polished surfaces highlight the attention to detail that distinguishes this timeless design. Every curve is shaped to preserve the character and elegance of the original runabout.
The Chris-Craft SRB 19′ is a “Special Race Boat” design from Chris-Craft, historically built in the 1930s, with a small number of original hulls (e.g., 1936 SRB specials).
The design is distinct from, but related to, the 19′ Chris-Craft Racing Runabout that was produced in larger numbers after World War II (late 1940s–1950s).
Those racing/runabout variants commonly seen in restorations (e.g., 1954 model) are ~19 ft LOA with a reported beam around ~6 ft in period listings.
Length: 19 ft
Beam: 6 ft
Original Engine: Chris-Craft MBL ~158 hp (typical period marine six-cylinder)
Recommended Motor: a V6 block 150-180hp
