Description:
ITS Carlo Bergamini (F590) is the lead ship of the Italian Navy's FREMM frigate program, designed for anti-submarine warfare and multi-mission naval operations. Featuring advanced stealth architecture and integrated combat systems, the vessel is one of the most modern frigates in the Italian fleet.
This 30-inch handcrafted model is meticulously built using the traditional plank-on-frame method and premium-grade woods, including Western Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany. Every detail, from the stealth-inspired hull and radar mast to the flight deck and missile systems, is carefully recreated by skilled craftsmen to capture the powerful appearance of the original warship.
One of the defining features of the FREMM frigate design is its advanced anti-submarine warfare capability combined with low radar visibility and multifunctional combat systems. Its sleek angular profile and modern naval architecture give ITS Carlo Bergamini a highly sophisticated military appearance.
Completion typically takes 3 to 6 months, depending on the design complexity and selected materials.

History:
ITS Carlo Bergamini (F590) was commissioned by the Italian Navy in 2013 as the lead ship of Italy's FREMM multi-mission frigate program developed jointly with France. The vessel was designed to perform anti-submarine warfare, fleet escort, surveillance, and long-range naval operations.
Named after Admiral Carlo Bergamini, a distinguished Italian naval commander during World War II, the frigate features advanced sonar systems, stealth-focused architecture, and integrated missile technologies. The FREMM program has become a cornerstone of modern European naval engineering and fleet modernization.
