History:
The Palm Beach 22’ is associated with Nelson Zimmer, an American designer known for his well-proportioned wooden runabouts of the mid-20th century. His designs emphasized balance, restraint, and usability, appealing to owners who valued clarity of form over ornamentation.
The Palm Beach series gained popularity for its versatility and refined appearance, particularly in post-war coastal and inland leisure boating. The 22-foot configuration offered a practical balance of size, comfort, and performance.
Original examples are now rare, and modern replicas preserve the character of the design while incorporating updated construction techniques and customization options.
