History:

The USCGC Cape Shoalwater was a U.S. Coast Guard buoy tender that served along the Pacific Coast, commissioned in the 1970s. Additionally, Cape Shoalwater was involved in search-and-rescue missions and pollution control efforts. After many years of service, Cape Shoalwater was retired and replaced by more modern ships with updated technology and improved capabilities.
