History:

The USCGC Cape Falcon was a buoy tender deployed along the U.S. West Coast. Commissioned in the 1970s, this vessel’s primary responsibilities included maintaining vital navigational aids and conducting search-and-rescue operations. Cape Falcon was also involved in environmental protection efforts, such as oil spill containment and marine ecosystem conservation. The vessel’s versatility and strong design allowed it to operate in various maritime conditions, contributing to the safety of the West Coast's busy shipping lanes. After many years of service, Cape Falcon was replaced by newer, more advanced vessels with enhanced capabilities.
