History:

The USS Alabama is a South Dakota-class battleship that served in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters during WWII. She participated in multiple operations, including bombarding Japanese positions in the Philippines. After the war, Alabama was preserved as a museum ship in Mobile, Alabama.
