History:

The USS Juneau was an Atlanta-class light cruiser launched in 1941. She gained fame when five Sullivan brothers died together after the ship was torpedoed and sunk at the Battle of Guadalcanal in 1942. Her sinking led to new policies regarding family members serving together in the U.S. military.
