History:

The Kidd-class destroyers were a class of four guided-missile destroyers originally designed for the Shah of Iran in the late 1970s. After the Iranian Revolution, they were acquired by the U.S. Navy and modified for Cold War missions. Known for their advanced anti-air capabilities, they served through the Gulf War and other conflicts before being sold to Taiwan.
