Each model takes about 50 hours to construct and undergoes a demanding quality-control process. Among the details of this boat model: interior ribs, 2 oars, oar holders, brass nameplate and wood stand. The boat is wood, through and through!

History:

The Peterborough Canoe design is a copy of a particular canoe once made by the Peterborough Canoe Company. It was founded in 1892 by William H. Hill and Elihu Edwards, manufactured wooden canoes in a factory located at the corner of King and Water Streets in the city of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
